Michael A. Dutton, DVM, DABVP
"I started the Weare Animal Hospital in 1992 to practice the type of medicine I wanted; personal, caring and at a high level of medical expertise. To that end, I have invested in our Staff and expanded the Hospital each year so now we offer many services that used to be available only at referral centers or University hospitals."
On the Leading Edge of Exotic Medicine
"The Hospital is a leader in exotic pet medicine in the State. We routinely handle exotic referrals from area veterinarians, Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, and Tufts' University. Exotic pets make up sixteen percent of our practice and our patients include primates, reptiles, amphibians, birds, hedgehogs, and ferrets. I also serve on the Advisory Editorial Board of Mosby's Exotic Pet Practice, a monthly veterinary journal. I have lectured and written on exotic pets over the years to both veterinarians and pet owners."
"I started the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians to help further veterinary knowledge of these pets. The Association can be found at http://www.aemv.org".
Providing Solutions
"One of our goals is to provide a single resource for your pet's medical needs. We have at our disposal many diagnostic and treatment options available in-hospital. Radiology, ultrasound, full laboratory services, ECG, respiratory and blood pressure monitors, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, and intensive care facilities are all available. We also provide boarding and grooming services on-site."
